Yaoi-Con was, as always,
crazy fun. I've got some leftover books available in the Shop, which has now
been enabled to accept credit cards as well as Paypal.
I'll also be listing some original art pieces in the coming week, and some are also available at my Etsy store, which I'm only now really beginning to fill with prints and merchandise. So stop by and check them out! You might find the perfect holiday gift for the yaoi fan in your life. ;)

Yaoi-Con
is quickly approaching! I'll be there this weekend, selling prints, books,
t-shirts, and other goodies in the Fan Market.
I'll have three books
available this year - paperback copies of The Brothers and the Dragon (which
was available last year as a hard cover edition), my artbook, In•Organica,
with lots of sketches and full color art, and an illustrated short story about
pirates, The Call of the Sea. This book will be limited to 100 pieces - if
any are left over when Yaoi-Con is over, I'll make them available on the website.
But it's for adults only! This is a naughty story.
You'll also find my work at the Iris Print booth - I did a poster for them
last year which should still be available, and my art will be on the cover
of BL Twist magazine.
So that's the news for now! Once I get back from Yaoi-Con, I'm going to buckle down and send out a portfolio to Wizards of the Coast. Just to see...

I just finished an illustration for Realms of Fantasy magazine! I was very
excited to get a commission from them - I've wanted to have my work in their
magazine since it first hit the stands. I'll have more info on that as it
gets closer to the publishing date. :)
Also, fixed some problems with the shipping settings in my shop! Previously,
too much shipping was being quoted for small items like buttons. I also added
the option for International shipping.

I've been buying art!
Maybe it's because I don't have many color originals of my own, since 99%
of my color work is digital, but I like buying originals when I can manage
it.
One that I bought a few months ago is "The
Matador", a beautiful watercolor by Jen
Wang. I first saw the piece when it was showing at a local gallery and
coveted it greatly, but at the time I didn't have the cash. I stumbled across
the painting online later on and saw that it was still available, so I ran
by the gallery and managed to snag it literally only a day or two before they'd
planned to mail it back to the artist. It was already wrapped up and addressed
for shipping!
My other treasures are three bird paintings by Chelsea
Groves, known as Bird Nerd on Etsy. She does gorgeous paintings and collages
of art deco birds, and I loves 'em. Here are the
three pretties I've collected.
Now back to work. Still
have a list of commissions to plow through, and I'm doing another piece for
Valent Games, and an illustration for Realms of Fantasy magazine, which has
me really excited. :D

This month is light on artwork, since I've been so busy with other things, but expect more later this month as I finish up projects that are in the works. I'll probably do some mini updates, rather than a flood in September!
